FAQ
The general details:
Can we meet you before we decide if we want to book?

Definitely! Just get in touch and I'll see if I still have availability on your wedding date. Then if I do, we can meet up over a cup of coffee and have a good chat together. We'll have a good old natter, get to know each other, talk all about your wedding plans, I'll show you some of my imagery and then it's entirely up to you if you want to book me or not. No pressure whatsoever.

What if we live to far away to meet up?

That's not a problem at all. We can always have a chat over the phone instead or even by Skype or Facetime if you wanted to!

Do you charge a travel fee?

Not if your wedding is in Essex, Kent, Suffolk or Norfolk. A small travel fee might be applicable if your wedding is slightly further away just to cover the cost of fuel.

What style do you have?

Documentary is how most of my clients describe my style. I'm like a secret ninja! There's no camera being thrust in your face all day. I'm unobstructive, capturing all the moments as they happen to create natural and authentic photographs for you.

What do you actually photograph on our wedding?

In short... everything! From the big moments you knew were going to happen, to the spontaneous surprises you never expected and everything in between.

Do you shoot all the details too?

Yes of course! My focus is mainly on you and your guests but I always shoot the details too. Your table plan, decorations, flowers, cake and all the other little details that you have spent so much time and effort creating. I photograph it all!

I heard we get an engagement photo shoot too, what is it though?

I include an engagement/couple photo shoot free of charge for each of my wedding couple. It's a great excuse for us to meet up around 4-6 weeks before your wedding, have another gossip over a cup of coffee and go over all of the details and timings for your day. I can answer any questions you might have, we can chat about any "must have" shots you would like and then we do your couple photo shoot. It helps us get to know each other a bit better and gives you an insight in to the type of photographs we will capture on your wedding. This means when your big day arrives you’ll be completely relaxed and natural in front of the camera. Trust me, you'll feel like a pro!

But I don't like having my photo taken. Can you help!?

Please don't panic, you're not alone! You will be surprised how many people feel the same. There's no need to worry at all; I'm like a secret ninja with my camera. I won't be shoving my camera in your face all day in fact most of the time you won't even know I'm taking your photo. I won't make you pose for hours on end, all I ask if for 20 minutes of your time to capture your gorgeous couple photos. No cheesey smiles or awkward posing in sight! Take a look through my wedding portfolio and you will see!

Do you take group shots?

Some people might consider group shots as a little old fashioned. But a lot of the time, the group shots are a lovely memory of who you shared your day with. They're for your parents, grandparents and to show your children when they grow up. A good number of group shots is between 5-10 but it's entirely up to you - we'll go over them before your big day to make sure we have enough time to capture all the group shots you need.

How do we book you?

If you decide you want me as your wedding photographer (yay!) and want to go ahead with booking, then I will send you across simple booking form and details for my £300 booking fee. As soon as the booking fee has been paid then I'm all yours. It's as simple as that!

How much do you charge?

I keep my pricing simple and transparent. For a full day of wedding photography I charge £1400 or £1850 if you want to include an album. Check out my pricing page (under the info tab) for all the details.

Do you visit our venue before the wedding?

Absolutely. If it’s a venue that I haven’t photographed before then I always make sure I attend the venue before your wedding. This gives me a a feel for the layout and the best locations for your photographs. For venues I have shot at before then it isn’t always necessary for me to view the venue before your wedding. If you are getting married a bit further away then it might not be possible for me to attend the venue before your wedding. However I will always arrive extra early on your big day so I can familiarise myself with the venue first.

Are you insured?

Absolutely. I hold full public liability and indemnity insurance which covers me for pretty much any eventuality. I have never needed to use it for anything (touch wood!) but it's there just in case to give you piece of mind.

How long do we have you for?

As long as you need me! That's right. I don't put a set time limit on your wedding day. Generally speaking I'll be with you for around 8-10 hours, sometimes a little longer, sometimes a little less. It all depends on the timeline for your wedding. One thing that's certain though, there are no hidden charges and I don't charge any extra money if your wedding timeline slips behind a little bit. I'm yours as long as you need me!

Do we need to feed you?

You don't have to, but a hot meal is always much appreciated!

How many photos do we get?

Quality over quantity is so true. You don't want 2,000 photos of your wedding cake or table plan. So I make sure each shots I take counts, they're all unique and different so you will love each and every one. But if you want me to put a number on it then typically, for usual full day wedding you will receive between 600-800 beautifully edited images.

Do we get black and white photos too?

Yes you do! Some images look awesome in black and white whereas some are much better suited to colour. I specifically choose which photos to edit in colour or b&w to make sure you receive the best selection of images.

When will we get our wedding photos?

4-6 weeks after your big day you will be invited to my home studio for your big photo reveal! This is when you will see all of your beautiful wedding photos for the first time. If you have opted for a wedding album or wall art then we will also design this during your viewing. After your photo reveal you will be able to take home your A4 proof book and your onlien gallery will be activated so you can show off your wedding photos to all you friends and family right away!

Can we order a wedding album?

Of course! There is something wonderful about seeing your beautiful wedding photographs printed and presented in a stunning handmade album. You can either include a wedding album when you book or you can upgrade to include an album at a later date.

Can we share our photos online?

Hell yea! All of your wedding photos will be uploaded to a private online photo gallery for you to share with all your friends and family. You can also download them to e-mail or post to your own social media.
